We understand the labour shortages that exist in regional Australia today, at Area we continue to develop new, innovative and unique ways to solve this very real problem.

Over the years regional Australia has seen a rapid decline of labour resources that is now reaching the point of crippling major agricultural and industrial 'sectors, which form life blood of our nation.'

In an initiative to resolve this problem Area Pty Ltd, in collaboration with both state and national learning centres have recently developed and launched a global international students programme.

Although not restricted to international students the programme has been specifically designed to ensure it will both:

A) Service the labour requirements of local industries and employers by:

• Tailoring TAFE courses around seasonal labour requirements.
• Developing and implementing locally based TAFE courses with greater relevance to local industries and employer requirements.
• Providing employers with options for skilled permanent employees upon completion of their studies.

B) Satisfy the needs of the student by offering four essential ingredients:

• The ability to gain permanent residency status in Australia by completing the appropriate TAFE certificate(s).
• Providing work opportunities to students to help support themselves whilst studying.
• Assisting with or providing accommodation needs whilst studying.
• Assistance with transport or transport options.

Employee Screening

At Area we guarantee the legality of our labour! Full immigration back ground checks are conducted on all non resident employees prior to their commencement with us.

On request we can provide you with copies of each employee's work rights status as provided to us by the Department of Immigration and Citizenship.

Charge Rates

Area can offer you two simple and easy to follow methods of suppling your Labour needs.

1.      Traditional contract labour where Area Pty Ltd are responsible for the employee's weekly pay and all their statutory employment related expenses. ( Workcover, super, payroll tax )

Charge rates are calculated on the specific award applicable to your industry and task.

2.      Recently we have introduced a daily hire rate for the people we supply to you. This method involves you the client employing our people direct and being responsible for payment of their weekly wage and all there statutory related employment expenses.

Prices start from as little as $20.00 per person per day for unskilled labour.

In both instances employees that are relocated from other regions will be given assistance by Area Pty Ltd with their accommodation and transport needs.
